Oops...the wrong airport

Well...I booked a trip to Beijing and I arrived in Bejing - just not where I expected.

Apparently Beijing has two airports, the capital airport that handles the majority of all air traffic in and out of Beijing, but then there is also the smaller Nan Yuan airport, to which I accidently booked my ticket.

Calling Nan Yuan an airport is an overstatement, it is a tarmac. The plane lands, and you exit the plane right onto the dark tarmac (who needs lights any ways) and then you pointed in the direction of the slightly illuminated house across the tarmac. This small house turns out to be the terminal. Where you stand and wait a while until you can see them put the luggage onto the conveyor belt (which is about 10 meters long) you grab your bag, and your done and out of the airport.

Now your just faced with the "slight" problem that you are stranded in the middle of nowhere, it's 1 am. and you really wanna get on some mode of transportation at get to your hostel bed.

Fortunately there are busses from Nan Yuan airport to the city center where you can hail a cab.

Just a little PA.

Best, Eva Maria
